TriState Tournaments
Providing competitive tournaments for 25 years!
Our mission
To provide a positive, competitive, and enjoyable tournament experience similar to the experience we would want if we took our teams to a tournament.
Who we are
David Jewison, founder of TriState Tournaments, started hosting Cotter Summer Basketball Tournaments in 2001 while attending college and coaching basketball teams at Cotter High School. A few years later, TriState Tournaments was formed and has been growing since. David is now a father to 6, husband, math teacher, track & field coach, and a basketball coach while still organizing and directing TriState Tournaments.
Our standards
We will do our best to give you and your team an enjoyable yet competitive experience. We will be transparent with you about the competition we have to offer at each tournament. If we believe we cannot provide you with quality competition, we will communicate with you and work to find a solution that meets your team’s needs. We expect that you are honest about the competitive level of your team.
Why choose us
Our mission at TriState Tournaments is to provide a great experience for you and your players. We try to set up the brackets and game schedules to produce as many close games as possible. We, as coaches, know that blowouts do very little to help either team. Our goal is for all games to finish in single digits with an overtime or two.
We hire a staff who will do their job professionally to help you have a positive tournament experience.
Officials are often a source of concern among coaches, players and sports fans. Not all officials are created equal but we work very hard on partnering, mentoring and training officials to provide the best officials possible.
Ultimately, we would like to create an experience for you that is positive and productive.
